Conan Exiles Steelfire | How to Make

When it comes to weapon progression in Conan Exiles, everything can be used to make something more powerful. From normal iron weapons to steel weapons, you can upgrade not only your arsenal, but your armor as well. However, if you want to turn iron into steel, then you’re going to need what’s known as Steelfire. But, how do you make it?

How to Make Steelfire in Conan Exiles

You need two ingredients to make Steelfire in Conan Exiles: Tar and Brimstone. Chances are good you have both of these already. If not, we can point you in the right direction.

To find Tar, you need to combine Oil and Raw Ash. Alternatively, you can farm some Resin and combine that with Raw Ash. Keep in mind that both of these ingredients require you to use the Alchemist’s Bench to craft them.

As it would have it, there are other methods. One other way to make Tar is by using Coal in a Fluid Press. You can also make Tar by putting Hides and Animal Heads into the Tannery, which will net you both Leather and Tar for your troubles.

As for the Brimstone, you’re going to need to find some mineral deposits in places like Buccaneer Bay’s underwater locations, Shattered Springs, and Gallaman’s Tomb. If you’re strong enough, you could take on a Rocknose and use their carcass to get brimstone from the fluid press.

Once you have both of these items, you can go to any Firebowl Cauldron and use the tar and brimstone to make Steelfire. Once this is complete, you’ll be able to make Steel from Iron. For example, if you take one Iron Refinforcement and combine it with Steelfire on a Blacksmith’s bench, you can make a Steel Reinforcement.

There’s more to Steelfire than just making reinforcements. You can make anything steel with this material and a little bit of iron!
