The quests you undertake in Disney Dreamlight Valley occasionally task you with retrieving a certain item in order to be completed. Although most of these are often common materials, others are rare and only appear under certain conditions. One example is the Glittering Herring, which is something you’ll need to complete Elsa’s quest called What Home Feels Like. If you’re having trouble catching it, then you’re in luck, because we’ll be showing you exactly how to do that.
How to Catch Glittering Herring in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In order to catch Glittering Herring, you need to use your fishing rod on a gold fishing spot at the Glade of Trust on a rainy day. Since there’s no way to influence the weather in the game, you’ll simply have to wait for rain to arrive. We recommend finishing other tasks in the meantime, because it’s impossible to tell what the climate is going to be.
Once you notice rain starting to pour throughout the Valley, get your fishing rod out and immediately head to the Glade of Trust. We suggest having the Wishing Well repaired in this biome to make traveling to and from it easier. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll need to spend 5,000 Star Coins before you can have it reconstructed.
It’s also important to note that using your fishing rod on a gold fishing spot may also yield Lobsters. If this happens, you’ll just need to keep on looking for gold fishing spots until you find one that gets you the Glittering Herring.
After you’ve acquired it, make sure that you don’t use it for any other recipe other than the one required in the quest. If you do, it may not spawn again so you might not be able to continue Elsa’s quest line.
