The juggernaut battle royale Fortnite has continued to take the world by storm since its initial launch in 2017. From its inception as a normal base-building game to dropping the entire story mode for its successful battle royale mode, few games have seen such success. Now, it seems that Epic Games plans on upping the ante once more. According to new rumors, the developers are soon going to allow players to experience the game with a first-person perspective. And, if the word is true, the feature may be arriving quite soon.
Fortnite First Person Rumors Arise Amid Chapter 4 Season 2
Rumors about Epic Games implementing a first-person mode to Fortnite have been floating around for some time now. Originally, an “immersive camera” mode was added to Fortnite creative in August of last year. Despite player interest, Epic made no plans to implement this option into the main game.
However, with Chapter 4 Season 2 now coming to a close on March 8, many credible Fortnite leakers like HYPEX are claiming that a first-person mode is finally coming to the battle royale.
Fortnite's First Person mode is finally coming in NEXT SEASON ?
The same reliable source confirmed it to me & @ShiinaBR, and now @GMatrixGames & @iFireMonkey got confirmation from their side too. pic.twitter.com/SASj2E6TRS

While these leakers have provided credible information information in the past, the truth is that rumors should always be taken with a grain of salt. Epic hasn’t made any comments at the moment discussing the content coming to the newest season of the game. Therefore, anything could happen.
However, that’s not to say it’s impossible. So how would this new mode work in the grand scheme of Fortnite? That’s anyone’s guess. This isn’t, however, the first time that a first-person perspective has been implemented. Fortnite has had many weapons that take advantage of first-person sights, after all. Aiming into the weapon will move the camera to view through the eyes of your player character. However, using a full first-person mode while firing from the hip, building, and sliding could be an interesting twist.
