Sea of Thieves is about more than just sailing the seas and hoarding treasure. There’s a main quest to follow, sure, but the approach you’ll take is through individual missions. They’re called Tall Tales, and you won’t be playing long before you stumble upon your first. But like any story-based story game, you’ll want to approach them in the intended order. Here’s the order to take for each of the main campaign quests.

All Sea of Thieves Tall Tales In Order

When you take on the Shores of Gold, the main quest of Sea of Thieves, you’ll notice a corner of the map is blocked off. You won’t be able to go there until you’ve completed the main quest. Here’s all the Main Quests for Shores of Gold:

1. The Shroudbreaker: Found by the Mysterious Stranger at all Taverns.
2. The Cursed Rogue: Found at Plunder Outpost, by Madame Olivia’s Tent.
3. The Legendary Storyteller: Speak to Tasha in the Tavern of Ancient Spire Outpost after completing the previous quest.
4. Stars of a Thief: Found by Sudds at The North Star Outpost.
5. Wild Rose: It’s Found by Madame Olive at Sanctuary Outpost.
6. The Art of The Trickster: Head to Plunder Valley and find Salty at the Shipwreck on the Eastern Shore
7. The Fate of the Morningstar: Die, and find the book next to the Ferryman on the Ferry of the Damned
8. Revenge of the Morningstar: Head to Daggertooth Outpost and find the book by Sandra next to the Shipright Shop.
9. Shores of Gold: Head to Morrow’s Peak Outpost, and find the book by Grace Morrow outside the Tavern.

Surprisingly, this is not the only group of Tall Tales. There are two more campaigns regarding the return of Captain Flameheart, called the Ashen Age. Here’s where you’ll find them:

1. The Seabound Soul: Head to Shipwreck Bay, and find the Blackwyche’s wreck. They’re inside the Captain’s Quarters. Note, this is also how you get the Sword of Souls.
2. Heart of Fire: At Morrow’s Peak Outpost, Find Tallulah at the Tavern, the book should be right there.

The newest set of Tall Tales is a collaboration with Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean. You can kick off this questline by finding the Castaway’s Camp at any outpost. Here’s all the Tall Tales for this story:

With this in mind, you should be ready to start adventuring on your own, or with a group of friends!
