To survive in the world of Valheim, you’ll inevitably have to use various tools to collect resources from your environment. Unfortunately, constant usage of these objects will gradually wear them down until they’re no longer serviceable. Luckily, you’ll be able to repair them in the game so that they can be as good as new again. If you’re having trouble figuring out how to do this, though, then we’ve covered all you’ll need to know below.
How to Repair Tools in Valheim
To repair Tools in Valheim, you first need to craft a Workbench. Once it’s been made, you can repair tools by clicking the Hammer icon found on the right side menu. Doing this will immediately refresh any piece of equipment that you currently have in your inventory. This includes various types of weapons and armor as well, such as Bows, Tunics, Spears, and Shields.
Now, to craft a Workbench, you’ll have to collect 10 pieces of Wood first. This resource is especially abundant throughout the Meadows biome so you should have an easy time gathering it. After you’ve obtained the necessary amount, you’ll need to equip your Hammer to open the build menu. Once the build menu pops up, head to the Crafting tab and select the Workbench option.
It’s important to note, though, that you’ll only be able to build and use Workbenches inside a shelter. This means you’ll have to gather more Wood to construct an enclosed space with a roof. As soon as it’s been built, you’ll be able to place down the Workbench within it.
Most of the parts you can use to set up a small house typically use up one to two pieces of Wood. With this in mind, you may need to collect 20-30 additional pieces so you can finish building your shelter.
