It’s getting closer to that time of the year when all the game companies get together to show off everything they have in store for people in the coming year. Normally, this happens around E3. However, with E3 being canceled once again, companies are now doing their own showcases for players around the same time. Xbox is no exception, as they’ve announced their plans for this year’s showcase including one major reveal for Starfield.

Xbox Announces Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct

Announced on the official Xbox website, the company announced its plans for the “Xbox Games Showcase” on June 11, 2023. Much like their previous years, the company is hosting a live stream where it wi’ll showcase games coming to the platform in the latter half of 2023 and beyond.

Xbox states that the live stream will showcase “new surprises and first looks from our incredibly talented internal studios and our many creative partners around the world.”

However, this isn’t the only thing that Xbox is going to be showing its players once the live stream airs. Immediately following the Xbox Games Showcase is a direct-styled presentation focus on the highly anticipated Starfield. The following Starfield Direct will focus heavily on the upcoming title, with its release coming this September. Plenty of fans are still in the dark about the game, so any new information will be much welcomed.

Luckily for fans, both of the live streams will be available on the same channel according to Xbox. The company has planned ahead, allowing multiple ways to watch the live stream based on what language you speak. this also includes people who use ASL.

Xbox has posted all their locations for the live stream on the blog post. Even though E3 is done for good, the major companies are still aiming to keep tradition alive in their own way, by showcasing their latest titles in June.

Xbox Games Showcase and the following Starfield Direct go live on June 11th, 2023, at 1 PM Eastern Standard Time.
